The Walt Disney Integrated Supply Chain Management?s Sourcing team is responsible for the enterprise-wide management of Supplier compliance with Company objectives including brand protection and cost (spend) efficiency, while also delivering innovative and compelling products in partnership with other cross-functional partners.
This position is responsible for protecting the Disney brand through responsibly sourced, quality products. In addition, the Associate Sourcing Manager optimizes global merchandise productivity and profitability, provides innovative product solutions and contributes to the cultivation of organizational vibrancy across all merchandise related functions.
Supplier Relationship Management, including maintaining a compliant supplier matrix and ensuring brand protection. Evaluate and score suppliers based on ISCM vision, mission, strategies and business objectives. Product related projects and management of cross-functional partner requests, ensuring regulatory, quality, safety and branding meets all Company requirements. Provide cost-effective solutions and negotiation including cost-engineering. Research and develop long term solutions and strategies which anticipate future needs, market shifts and mitigate inflationary pressures. Shares knowledge and participates in problem resolutions with internal and external partners. Integrates Sourcing strategies into DTPM line of business processes and business development.
5 Years minimum experience in Retail Sourcing, Buying or Product Development.
Proven experience working and negotiating with Suppliers/Factories, both domestically and overseas
Proven experience communicating effectively to executive levels
Process oriented with experience working across a matrix organization
Knowledge or work experience with Intellectual Property Protection and/or licensing
Strong negotiations skills and experience driving for win-win solutions with international vendors and managing multimillion dollar spends
Experience balancing all aspects of product development, including cost, quality and supplier compliance
Understanding of Social Compliance and product safety/regulatory standards
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
Experience working with international partners as well as working across multiple time zones
Experience working in factories with supplier partners on costing, product development, and social compliance
Knowledge of global macroeconomic environment and inflationary pressures affecting consumer product sourcing
Proven experience executing OEM designs involving multiple product media and substrates including: cut-and-sew bags/backpacks/accessories; footwear; scarves and fashion accessories; plastic injection molded hair and personal accessories; hard and soft-side luggage; cosmetics and associated beauty tools.
Knowledge of accessories and apparel manufacturing processes (e.g. understanding of the construction of a fashion handbags, understanding of knit and woven fabrications, print and embroidery production techniques, trims and embellishments, injection molding, rotocasting, etc.)
Detail oriented, flexible and able to work in a fast pace organization, having the ability to meet deadlines with being able to prioritize the workload.
Keen communicator able to multi-task projects and sustain multiple workflows
Proven ability to lead and mentor peers and cross-functional partners
Keen sense for the retail business climate and ability to proactively re-focus strategic direction
Knowledge of international business climate and exposure to international and domestic travel
Additional Qualifications
Working knowledge of Mandarin or Cantonese preferred.
3D printing and production experience preferred.
Knowledge of Optitex software preferred.
Experience in technical design/pattern making preferred
Professional certifications in Supply Chain and/or Sourcing related areas preferred (e.g. CPP, CPM, CSCMP)

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
